About
Mr. J & Sons
Jerome Adamo—affectionately known as Mister J—is a Registered Early Childhood Educator in Oakville, Ontario, Canada.
With a lifelong passion for storytelling and education, he has dedicated his career to supporting all children, especially those with unique learning needs, through creativity, patience, and imagination.
Fifteen years ago, while raising his twin sons—both living with learning challenges and supported by Individual Education Plans—Jerome returned to a story idea he had when he was child by crafting simple yet heartfelt stories about a small yellow marble with a mischievous streak.
That marble became Martin Marble, a character who embodies adventure, curiosity, and resilience. What began as words on paper quickly grew into something more.
Jerome’s first stories were embraced by Spotlight on Reading, a community early literacy program, where they helped children develop reading confidence in a fun and accessible way.
But the project became even more meaningful when his sons, during a school “Google Hour” project, chose to illustrate their father’s stories. Together, father and sons transformed the adventures of Martin Marble into a fully illustrated 12-story collection.
Today, The Misadventures of Martin Marble is a four-volume series that invites children everywhere into Martin’s world of laughter, problem-solving, and discovery. Each story reflects Jerome’s passion for nurturing imagination, his commitment to inclusivity in learning, and the resilience of a family who turned challenges into creativity.
From Lost and Found to Spooky and Kooky, Martin Marble’s adventures echo the joys, worries, and humour of childhood—always ending with friendship, hope, and wonder.
Now with ISBN registration and completed illustrations, Mister J & his sons are ready to share Martin Marble’s stories with the world. His dream is simple but powerful: to give children and families everywhere stories that entertain, teach, and remind us all that even the smallest things—like a little yellow marble—can hold the greatest adventures.
Mister J lives in Oakville with his wife, his twin sons, and his young niece, who continue to inspire his work and his storytelling journey.
